Is it me or does the Zend w...

So I went to their jobs page and saw the link "Browse for PHP talent by location". Excellent, I thought, this will be easy... oh, ha-ha. Next, there's a page with a rather crowded listing of countries where PHP developers have registered in. Let's click on "Germany"... ouch. Error message. "left" is not a valid handle. Well, I didn't want to go left anyway, I wanted a list of PHP developers in Germany. Okay, so I try the quicksearch form and search for the keyword "germany". What, just two results? Can't be... the overview page said there'd be at least 34 people registered in Germany (still not much, but more than two). Arrgh, so "Advanced search" it is! Aaah, this looks much better now - I'm getting a list of all registered developers in Gemany... uhm, well... but this list is completely and utterly useless! It's a list of names, and names only, the only other information about the people listed is "Talent" and "Germany" - no shit, I already figured that out, thank you very much. So will I really have to open each link individually? Wait, maybe I can get a detailed view on all of them by clicking all the checkboxes and then click on "View checked items"? Nope, there's that error message again that I already ran into earlier. So, clicking each one individually it is... Besides this inconvenience it would really have made sense to offer some more information, like the city the person lives in, when was the entry last updated, and in which kinds of jobs would he/she be interested in (freelance only or full-time position?). Speaking of updating, I then noticed that there was a reaaaally old entry for myself, so I thought - hey, while I'm at it, let's update that data... huh, is there really no way to do that? The only links I can see are "Find other talent in Germany" (which is broken as well) and "Add resume". Yeeah, well, my resume is already in the database, it's just that it's really, really old now and I want to update it. How do I do it? "My Zend", perhaps? Nope, nothing there. I can't even simply delete the darn thing and just add a new one. Nothing, nada, zilch, zip. Great. I wonder how current and reliable the other data in that database is... Okay, but wait, I have an idea! There's another place where I can look for PHP talent at the Zend website: The PHP Yellow Pages! This database contains all the people who have passed the Zend Certification Exam! Brilliant! Oh, wow, the site even seems to work... I can easily get a list of all ZCEs in Germany. Still, the list is rather useless - I can't see where the people are located - all I can see is when they've passed their exam (why is that relevant again?) and what company they're working at (or have worked at). If there's no company I guess I can assume it's either a student, the person is unemployed or works freelance. Well, not a very reliable assumption in any case. But you know, I'm basically not a bad guy. And I really do like Zend. I use Zend Studio every day and I love it. So I thought, let's let them know what's broken on their site so they can have a chance to fix it. On the page where you can add (and only add ) your resume for the jobs database, there was a link for contacting the web team in case you have any suggestions. Boy, do I have some suggestions So, clicky-clicky... mh. No contact form, no mailto link, there's just the general contact page. Okay, so I click on the link for contacting the webmaster, seems about right... and what do I get? A generalized form where I can enter all my address data and a tiny little textarea at the bottom that says "Product of Interest, or Additional Comments"... if I want to contact the webmaster, how probable is it that I am simply interested in a product? What do you know... I finally gave up and decided to blog this instead In summary, if you ever posted your resumé at Zend.com, don't expect any potential employer to ever find you this way.
